Reflective Parenting Podcast
What if one book could help you see yourself more clearly as a parent?
As parents, we're constantly learning. We listen to podcasts, read books, and consume endless advice online, but real growth happens when we pause long enough to reflect on what we're learning and what it means for our own lives.
Welcome to The Reflective Parenting Podcast, a parenting book club led by neuroscientist, international speaker, mom of three, and founder of Curious Neuron, Dr. Cindy Hovington.
Each month, we'll explore a new book together and reflect on the ideas that can help us better understand ourselves, our emotions, our relationships, and our parenting. Every week, I'll share reflections, insights from neuroscience, and practical takeaways to help you become more self-aware, manage stress more effectively, navigate conflict with greater confidence, and show up as the parent you want to be.
This isn't a book summary podcast. It's an invitation to slow down as parents, think more deeply, and grow alongside your children.
Because becoming a better parent isn't about consuming more information; it's about reflecting on it with me by your side.

I needed to hear this podcast so much to cement all the things my wife has been trying to get me to understand and reflect on for the past three years. Thank you! -- KD
Hello! I just discovered you and your podcast from seeing a parenting seminar . I was a physic teacher before I had my son. And love love love this research based program. Thank you and will continue to listen during car naps of my 2 year old lol
Wow Cindy! Thank you for following your passion and your gut! It’s truly amazing to hear your story and also layer parenting with passion on top of it! I was moved by your “yelling at your soup” story. I can’t quite imagine what it would be like to have a partner that created a safe space with their presence. My experience, and so many of the experiences around me, are that the partner cannot handle how hard parenting is and a moment like that would be worsened by their presence. In your story, I assume your partner picked up on what needed to happen parenting wise and continued on with the task. Relationship goals 🩷
hi! Am I imagining that there was a podcast episode about saying goodbye to your grandparents house, or was it part of a different episode? I’m looking to share it with my mom who will be helping my Grandfather say goodbye to his home soon.
